On a sunny Sunday, June 23, 2024, the Springline Plaza in Menlo Park buzzed with excitement as SpotDraft, in collaboration with Pets in Need, hosted Super Pets Day. This event aimed to bring together pet lovers and homeless animals to find forever homes for these deserving pets. The outcome? An overwhelming success with eight pets adopted from all participating shelters.

Super Pets Day: A Community Effort to Save Lives

SpotDraft, known for its innovative approach to automating contracts, decided to take a step towards social responsibility by supporting a cause close to many of our hearts. Pets in Need (PIN), a no-kill animal shelter based in San Francisco, emerged as a perfect partner.

About Pets in Need

Pets in Need (PIN) aims to provide permanent homes and loving care for animals. They achieve this by transferring cats and dogs from public shelters in the Bay Area and beyond when these animals risk being euthanized due to space or financial constraints. With operations in Redwood City since 1993 and management of the Palo Alto Animal Shelter since 2019 in partnership with the City of Palo Alto, PIN has a longstanding commitment to maintaining a no-kill philosophy.

Event Highlights

Super Pets Day, held at Springline Plaza, celebrated community, compassion, and joy. The free event featured a variety of attractions, including:

• Food Trucks and Beer: A selection of food trucks offered delicious treats while local breweries provided refreshing beverages, making the day enjoyable for all attendees.
• Music: Live music added to the festive atmosphere, creating a lively backdrop for the day’s activities.
• Pet Adoptions: The highlight of the event, of course, was the pet adoptions. Participants had the chance to meet and adopt pets from various shelters, all united by the common goal of finding loving homes for animals in need.
• Pet Costume Contest: Adding a fun twist, attendees were encouraged to dress their pets in costumes for a chance to win prizes. This contest brought smiles and laughter.
